Project lead and lead mechanical engineer on the club's electric go-kart, learning and teaching CFD, CAD, and FEA along the way.
I lead the electric go-kart team as project lead, lead mechanical engineer, and club co-president. The project is split into mechanical (kart assembly, CAD model, aerodynamics), electrical (powertrain testing, energy and power-to-weight calculations), safety (inspection and maintenance protocols, crumple zone and safety features), and club development. I manage the timeline and teach members CFD, DFMA, CAD, and FEA, so the project builds Wesleyan's engineering skills as well as a kart.
